Day Sixteen: Discreetly give the finger to people all day
HAHA! I love this one! That picture isn’t very discreet, I’ll have to work on it. :D

Be gay for a day!

This is going to be fun.  I’m going on a Yoshi’s date with Angel today, which is perfect because in our freshman year of high school, everyone thought we were a couple.

Yesterday I was the vision of flattery.  It made me feel great, actually.

Flatter someone today.

Results will be posted soon. :D

Send a letter to a mass murderer.

Send a letter? What kind of letter? Should I send a “hello, how are you?” or shall I send a condemning letter, oozing with obscenities and disdain for him?

Should I write it out here or hand write it and actually mail it off?

Should I use a pseudonym, or my real name?

What a fascinating task.

What’s your type?

Write it here today as a reminder at drunken parties.

I don’t have a type.  Most girls that claim that don’t exactly believe it, but for me it’s true.  Every guy I’ve ever dated has been radically different than the guy before him in looks, personality, and ambitions.  For example, my most recent ex is a beefhead Marine covered in tattoos with the IQ of a pit bull.  My current boyfriend is a slightly nerdy Ph.D. student in bioinformatics with a love of ultimate frisbee and his female rabbit Boris.

However, I do have standards.

I like men who have an opinion, who are passionate about something. I like men who take care of their mothers and are kind to their siblings. I like men who make me feel like I am the most beautiful girl in the world, even though I know it’s not true.  I like men who are not afraid of their flaws. I like men who are confident, but not cocky.  I like men who are handsome, but are modest about it. I like men who have a sense of humor, and aren’t afraid to share it.  I like men who know when maturity is necessary and when immaturity is okay. I like men who listen to me and remember my quirks, and love me for them anyways. I like men with a plan for a future, even if it is not exactly glamorous. I like men who can cook, because I sure as hell can’t.  I like men who enjoy learning and furthering their intellect.  I like men who are the same around their friends as they are when we are alone.

I could go on for a while with this,  but whenever we make lists like this, we are setting ourselves up for disappointment.  I go into relationships with few expectations of the way I want the other person to be/act, because I know that every new relationship brings a completely different dynamic than the one before it, and that what may have worked in the past might not work in this new relationship.  We all have things we like in a guy/girl, but if we limit ourselves to one type of person, then we are limiting ourselves to a plethora of new experiences.  Sometimes, we just have to go with the flow.

Yesterday I talked to one of the SA’s that work in the Hickory office.  He is new this semester, and I’ve never been in the office while he is working so I haven’t gotten a chance to talk to him

He’s a really nice guy!

Today introduce yourself to someone you know but never speak to.

AYE AYE CAPTAIN! I’m really excited for today’s task.  I’m not sure who I will talk to, possibly one of my residents that moved in at the beginning of the semester who I STILL haven’t met officially.

Most likely, I’ll end up cheating and talking to someone on Facebook, but I am going to do that as a very last resort.

I’m going to my dad’s house today so my social interactions are going to be very slim.

Meet Jonas Day!

Today is lame. My life has not been changed by visiting this website.

Is the year ahead looking much the same as the last? Another 365-day grind of meetings, dinner dates, and deadlines? If so, try this book.

Part instruction manual, part therapy, part religious cult, part sheer anarchy, This Book Will Change Your Life will help you poke a stick in the spokes of your routine.

It’s not the soft-hearted kind of book that’s interested in what you have to say; rather it contains 365 daily orders, each one of which could turn your humdrum existence into a daily free-fall.

This blog's purpose is to document my journey through the colorful book "This Book Will Change Your Life"

It's an adventure that I surely will enjoy.
